Counter dies in Pertinax

  • As in other areas, the most expensive resource in packaging industry is time. Setting up the cutting tools takes a lot of time. For larger production runs, most effective are counter plates in Pertinax, known also as Rillma or counter dies, replacing the typical and widely used counter dies, applicable mainly in small production series.
  • Counter plates in Pertinax have thickness corresponding to the thickness of material to cut. The plates have grooves with width and depth that depend on the material to cut. Instead of adjusting multiple counter dies, we set up centering pins, which is a lot easier and faster, as a result of which a single object is centered – the counter plate in Pertinax.
 

Stripping dies

  • The aim of manufacturers of packaging to reduce the amount of manual labour and increase output at the same time has lead to a wide use of machines that comprise a stripping section, where stripping dies are used beside the cutting dies. They consist of three parts – male, female and a guillotine. The ultimate goal in using stripping dies is to reduce the cost of end product – packaging, which promotes competitiveness and improves the market.
  • Male stripping die. Used in a set with the female stripping die and serves for pushing away the waste part of the cardboard or corrugated cardboard sheet.
  • Female stripping die. Just like the male stripping dies it serves for removing the unnecessary part ofОтпадни форми други the cardboard or corrugated cardboard sheet. The female stripping die supports the cardboard sheet. The female die has hollow areas corresponding to the scrap parts to be stripped from the cardboard sheet. The sheet, having been cut by the cutting die, moves into the stripping section. The male stripping die is positioned above and the female stripping die is below the sheet. During its movement downward the male stripping die punches the waste paperboard part and removes it; the remaining part is kept in position by the female stripping die. The process is repeated and thus the cardboard or corrugated cardboard sheet is stripped off the waste.
  • The front stripping element is called guillotine. It serves for complete removal of the sheet from the grip side. This is a very efficient method of scrap removal from the sheet from the grip side.

Cutting rule bending

  • This is a process of bending the metal strip – cutting or creasing rule, cut out by the CNC laser cutting machine. The operation is performed by:
  1. Qualified operators who have completed a special training course.
  2. Automatic bending machines processing the metal rule with high precision and accuracy.
  3. Semi-automatic machines, designed after years of experience of the mother company.
  • The metal rule bending process is accomplished automatically using automatic bending machines. Machine bending allows for greater accuracy in the processing of the required shape and ensures higher rate of repeated identical complex bending shapes and manufacturing speed.
 

Laser cutting

  • The making of a cutting die includes the process of laser cutting. For that purpose we use a highly efficient and accurate CNC laser cutting machine.  The high level of precision and speed of the machine ensures minimal error accumulation within ± 0.025 mm. These parameters provide the quality, speed and accuracy of cutting die operations.
  • The CNC laser cutting machine application is not limited to manufacturing cutting dies only; it is also used in the advertising industry and in metal cutting processes for obtaining complex geometrical shapes.
